Someone told me that they thought Angelina Jolie was androgynous. Does anyone else think that is weird. I think she is just a really hot woman. Never thought she was androgynous>

I didnt see much response to this.
I thought I would; because, I like her and its just a fun topic, not all heavy.
Shes a unique person and I think she cares about people, and she tries to do something to help others.
I would say that she could look more male if she wanted to.Shes a good actress, and that would help to portray a particular gender.
I remember when she was younger, like when she was in Hackers(I think);she was a bit androgynous. She wouldnt have had to do much to seem like a boy.
Its a bit more difficult since she developed so well in the breast department.^_^
......and shes got great great lips.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I can definitely see why people who're attracted to transgender folks or those with an androgynous presentation would be struck by Ms. Jolie. I'm rarely attracted to non-trans women, but I think Angelina Jolie is every bit as smokin' as her hype. Watching her in Mr & Mrs Smith (or whatever it was called)?? Reminds me of a male-to-female tranny. Albeit a gorgeous one. Sort of over-the-top "feminine" in girl mode, but with absolutely no softness underneath. Like a drag queen who loves the clothes and hair, uses the garb to attract men, but isn't really interested in being "female". Not a particularly sympathetic character, admittedly, but a hot one.

Yeah,I hadnt seen that, but I know exactly what you mean.
You described the aspect of her that I was trying to get at in my post.
I liked her in Tomb Raider 1,because she actually studied the video game character so well that she really brought Lara Croft to life. It was so weird, how she portrayed the character so well. She did the voice and mannerisms right well.
I think that she really captured the personality of the character.
The character is a woman who really enjoys moving in the circles of men and doing what they do and is smarter about how she does it. And she really likes to shoot things.^_^

Well I've never thought about it but after flicking through a bunch of pix I think she looks more like a drag-queen! Perhaps I'm biased as I don't really like her much. Having said that she was good in “Girl Interrupted”, Winona Rider who stared along side Jolie looks more androgynous to me.

Carrie-Anne Moss, of Matrix fame, is more androgynous although that might have more to do with the 'tom boy' character she portrays in that particular movie.

I'm attracted to the more elfish natural looking type of person and I abhor cosmetics in any form. Unfortunately it's often difficult to find pix of famous people without make up, not that I would ever want to date anybody famous.

Other famous women who I figure are rather androgynous include: Geraldine Quinn, Annie Lennox, Mena Suvari, Micha Barton (?), kate Winslet, Clair Danes, Amira Casar to name but a few.

            Yeah,Rider and Moss,good examples.
I have poor recall of theatrical people,I know them by image memory;but,I usually have a hard time remembering their name.
I only recognize a couple of names of your list. I'd know them if I saw them,I think.
Moss was in a movie(can't recall title) that i saw a bit of,and she looked so different,at first I didnt recognize her at all.
Well,I know,Tomb Raider isnt high class film, but I like the game, and the movie was better than most dreck thats foisted on the public as "spectacular and original"
